Training Services
A major portion
of a consultant’s job is to train management and staff to the point where
the consultant is no longer needed. NPI does this very successfully. We use a combination of on the job training and
Basic Training Seminars to educate our clients.
We have developed a very strong expertise in training our clients on a wide variety of
computer systems and applications. Every contact with a client is a training opportunity,
which we take full advantage of. Most of our clients are using major accounting /
manufacturing computer systems and we pride ourselves on training every user to a high
degree of proficiency.

We have worked extensively with Management groups and computer users to
provide seminars in the areas of computer usage, communicating skills,
bookkeeping procedures, and personal growth. We strongly believe that a
company’s success rides on the shoulders of the employees and building
better employees, builds a better business.
The Basic Training concept
is to improve employee performance through better understanding of the resources used to
do their jobs. This is accomplished through a series of seminars presenting very practical
information we have used in training our clients over the years.
Acorn has presented the Basic
Computer Concepts seminar to several of our client’s computer users.
This seminar stresses understanding the basics inside the computer to build a better
understanding of the applications being used.
Much of our work encompasses computerized book keeping/accounting. We have presented
the Basic Bookkeeping
Concepts seminar to most of our client’s employees involved in this
area. The seminar outlines how a computer sees a bookkeeping system and how a bookkeeping
system relates to the day to day operations of a company.
NPI has also presented the Basic
Communication Skills seminar to several clients. The material covers many
techniques for effective verbal and written communication in a business environment.
Attendees will find a big improvement in all levels of communication, business and
personal.
The Basic
Presentation Techniques seminar has been presented to lower and middle
management people who must prepare management level proposals effectively. Acorn has
developed a strong expertise in this area through years of working with and presenting to
management groups of all kinds. This is a short seminar covering the basics of getting
their attention, getting your message across, and getting the management group on side.
Basic Successful
Relationships is a personal improvement seminar that deals with how you
feel about yourself and, by extension, how others feel about you. Many of the techniques
discussed have a direct application to how we relate to peers at work and at home. These
techniques have been very successful in solving some of the problems that develop between
employees in a work environment.
